Meet the Staff

Ellen Hicks, MEd, VATL, ATC, graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Minor in Athletic Training. She went on to receive her Master of Education degree in Health Promotion from Northwestern State University. Ellen was certified by the Board of Certification in 1996 and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Athletic Trainer, Pharmacy Technician, and Emergency Medical Technician. She joined the Advantage team in July of 2007. Ellen lives in Port Republic and enjoys fly fishing, hiking and volunteering with local EMS agencies during her spare time.
